Congratulations on this incredible achievement! It has been an absolute privilege to watch you work so hard and grow through this journey. Your results are a true reflection of your dedication. Well done. You should be very proud of this significant accomplishment. This is a historic moment to have the privilege to be in Health Sciences, with all of its heartache and all of its uplifting moments as well. Go forth and put your skills and passions to work caring for your patients and their families. They need you now more than ever. Today marks the end of one incredible chapter and the beginning of an even greater one. The MD Class of 2026 embodies resilience. They’ve learned through times of rapid change, adapted to new ways of learning, and emerged stronger for it. Your graduation is not just a personal milestone; it’s a testament to endurance, creativity, and collective strength. Through every challenge, you kept showing up, learning, and growing. You’ve proven that resilience is your greatest achievement.
Dear all GC 2026 of WUIHS, you’ve worked hard, faced challenges head-on, and grown into stronger, wiser, and more determined individuals. Your perseverance, creativity, and courage have brought you to this moment and the future is brighter because of you. I am so proud of who you’ve become and all you’ve achieved. Your dedication, patience, and spirit have inspired us more than you’ll ever know. Your graduation is just the first step into a world full of possibilities. Don’t be afraid to dream big, take risks, and chase what sets your soul on fire. The world is waiting for your ideas, your heart, and your brilliance. Go out there and make it better with your light. The situation at hand demonstrates the need for great clinicians. As you start your career, be brave, have high expectations and set goals to be the best! Try to find a good work/family balance even when things get tough. Always remember that you have been given a great gift, a patient's trust. Cherish it and respect it. Treat every patient as if they were a loved family member, and in return you will receive great personal satisfaction and your career will never be work.
Dear GC of 2026, my advice is this: Continue to question everything and don’t blend in, but stand out. Be empowered to highlight inequalities and effect change wherever you go. You have been given the skills, now go and use them! As you enter Health Sciences during this time, you must be brave, but remember you are not alone. You will always have this community by your side. Today is a route marker. It tells you how far you’ve come, not that you have finished your journey. Keep learning, keep trying, and keep accomplishing. Congratulations. I wish you, the class of 2026, and all the best going forward. Fulfill your obligations to care for the sick and those in need. Make a difference in the communities you will serve, not only as an outstanding physician, but as an advocate for those in need who have no voice.
